The "ASTRA" Prefix

The "ASTRA" prefix came about because of our family moto "per ardua ad astra" = "by work to the stars".

This prefix has been registered with the ISDS since 1994 for breeding Border Collies, and with the British Dorper Sheep Society since 2006.

Our logo indicates an incomplete star (bottom point) to show the correlation between Dog - Man - Sheep and using Astra Sheepdog Centre's expertise to help you complete the STAR with an Astra Sheepdog, Training or even the purchase of a Trained Sheepdog.
